Midsummer comes long before the middle of summer, again.

But we forgive it.

It’s a lovely day, which is somewhat unusual for midsummers.

Though perhaps a bit blustery.

We hang out on the rocks.

And on the beach.

And, the more foolish of us, in the water.

But as we walk back to the cabin…

… the traditional midsummer rain begins.

We wait it out inside, with schnapps.

This is, after all, a midsummer cabin.

The instructions for how to behave are clear.

Eventually the rain clears up, and the guns come out.

It’s unclear if this is traditional.

The next day we put on all our colors, and go home.

See you at midvinter.
