Firenze (2024)

The thought of leaving Italy makes us sad.

We discuss our options.

Evaluate the possibilities.

And decide to stay.

Florence has the most absurd of all churches.

And the most absurd of all queues.

So we stick to what we can see outside.

We see a gelateria outside.

And come to appreciate the city.

We sneak into Uffizi.

A dog has snuck in, too.

An african grey has snuck in, too.

Some demons get all uppity.

Until they're told to calm down.

We grab snacks in the market.

There's no queue for Galileo.

So we learn about astronomy.

A helpful finger point us to the stars.

We learn where babies come from.

And how humans work.

And wonder what Thomas Edison was doing here.

Demon dogs get lonely.

Unless they have friends.

Same for the humans.

And same for the bands.

Ciao bella, bella ciao, we're back home now.
